When groping is OK

Despite his anger at Gene Simmons — over disparaging remarks and an alleged incident of groping his fiancée — Ace Frehley says he is still keeping the door open if KISS asks him to be part of the End of the Road farewell tour.  Ace says:

“I have had no contact with Gene, and Gene hasn’t commented on Rachel’s accusations. He hasn’t…denied it or apologized. I don’t know the specifics. In [a] court of law, if they put me on the stand, I would have to say that I did not witness anything. It’s a tough situation. And that’s all I really have to say about it.”

(So the groping would be okay if they let him play?)

However, Ace has been in touch with Paul Stanley.

“I [recently] touched base. He didn’t really want to talk about the feud between me and Gene. I heard he’d said some nice things [in his book, Backstage Pass], and I actually sent him a text thanking him for the kind words … That’s what prompted me to get ahold of him and thank him, and wish him luck on the European tour that they’re on right now. I always try to keep the door open.”

Ace performs in New Jersey TONIGHT (Friday) and Pennsylvania on Saturday. KISS plays in Norway Thursday. So I guess he won’t drop in.
