VH Reunion according to DLR

David Lee Roth says he has been rehearsing for his Las Vegas residency next January and March since October of last year. Backed by a band he calls Horses of God, which has three guitarists, he says this will be a full-on rock show, with Van Halen’s “Panama” kicking off the set.

“What we’re bringing here is not ‘California Girls’, ‘Just a Gigolo.’ I’m bringing Van Halen the way you have not heard it before. I started with the way the record sounds and there you have to bring everything doubled up. Everybody’s in Vegas now. That is the capital of show business. Rise and shine. Smell the prosperity and I’ll see you all in Vegas.”

David Lee Roth says we shouldn’t hold our breath for a Van Halen tour anytime soon.

“I don’t know what’s up with Eddie [Van Halen]. We’ve canceled two, three different tours now. And I hear all the same rumors that everybody else hears, but I haven’t heard anything. I don’t know that you’ll be seeing classic Van Halen again, to the degree where I’m the face of it now. And you hear a little determination in tone that is respectful. It comes with a dignity here — there’s a tradition. But don’t hold your breath.”
