Wish Not To Be Here

Don’t look for David Gilmour to get up on a stage in front of an audience anytime soon. He says he has no desire to perform in person in front of an audience until the pandemic is over.

“The idea of several thousand people milling together in front of you gives me the heebie jeebies. I hate to be doing a gig in front of all those people at this moment in time. Until this thing is totally defeated, under control fairly much worldwide, I’m not gonna be doing any shows.”

And, Gilmour adds that he also doesn’t want to be among thousands attending a stadium concert, although he wouldn’t mind “being in the band” on a stage in a stadium.

But don’t look for that to happen either, as he recently said Pink Floyd, who were known to pack stadiums, is “done.”
