Steve Miller‘s last show was on March 4th of last year, and with his 2020 summer tour put on hold because of the pandemic, he had time to dig through  his archives. Here is Steve Miller on going through his archives and finding a concert recorded in 1977, which is out today (Friday) as Breaking Ground:August 3 1977

“Out of that came this jewel of a concert. 1977. People were smoking cigarettes, wearing bell bottom pants and everybody’s got hair down to here. That part’s kind of funny. But what’s going on on the stage is really inspirational. And that’s why this has turned out to be such an exciting project.”

Among its 17 songs are “Take the Money and Run,” “Jet Airliner,” “Living in the U.S.A.,” “Space Cowboy,” “Fly Like an Eagle” and “Rock’n Me.”

Breaking Ground will be available in numerous configurations, with the full concert performance streaming on the Coda Collection via Amazon Prime Video.
