Courtney Love has ranted on Facebook about an upcoming TV series based on Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson’s marriage and the leak of their infamous sex tape.

The eight-part mini-series Pam and Tommy stars Lily James and Sebastian Stan in the title roles and will air on Hulu later this year. The first photos of the stars made up to look like the onetime Baywatch actress and the Motley Crue drummer were released recently.

In her now-deleted post, Love called the show “[effing] outrageous” and recalled being in an L.A. studio with Hole in the ’90s when the sex tape was released. She remembers the band being the lone women there and the response of the all-male studio staff as they watched it — “Guffaws, it was disgusting.” She says she “banned anyone discussing it. It destroyed my friend Pamela’s life. Utterly.”

Love says she was asked for permission to use one of her Rolling Stone magazine covers in “this piece of [crap]” and said “[eff] no.” She added that she was “Shocked. Gentleman (sic) don’t approve this sort of thing,” and that her “heart goes out to Pammy,” who will be caused “complex trauma” by it.

She also took off on actress James — “whoever the [eff] she is. #vile.” — for playing Anderson.

The couple’s sex tape was stolen from them in 1995 by an electrician who’d been fired by Lee. He came back and hauled off a safe containing the tape and began selling copies online. Anderson and Lee were able to go to court and stop the sale, but the damage had been done and in 1997 they sold the rights to Vivid Video, who then legally issued it in various formats.
