Dave Grohl has racked up a bunch of number-ones with Foo Fighters and Nirvana, but now he’s scored a number-one as an author.
The Storyteller is number one on The New York Times Hardcover Nonfiction list and the Combined Print and E-Book Nonfiction list. Grohl tweeted, “Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine that I would someday be a number one bestselling author, but it’s those same wildest dreams that I’ve followed since the day I picked up a guitar. Honored.”
Grohl has a strong resume of number-ones in music — he’s had two chart-topping albums with Foo Fighters, along with 10 alternative number-ones and 11 rock number-ones. With Nirvana he scored four chart-topping albums.
