Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks start their nine-date stadium tour this Friday at SoFi Stadium in the Los Angeles suburb of Inglewood, California.

Although they both made their mark in the ’70s, Billy tells the Los Angeles Times they met for the first time 10 years ago at a Fleetwood Mac show in San Francisco.

Looking at these dates, he says, “This’ll be a completely new thing for me. I’ll probably do one of her songs and she’ll probably do one of mine.” Which one will he do? “That’s up to her.”

Ironically, this tour is not “completely new” as he did a similar tour in the ’90s with Elton John. “I did very much enjoy touring with Elton John. It was like I joined something. As a solo artist, it’s always me, me, me — gets kind of boring. But when I hooked up with Elton, I got to play his material, which was a hell of a lot of fun. I miss that.”

Billy and Stevie will continue their tour with one show each in April, May and June, followed by two in August, and then one each in September, October and November.  They are coming to Foxborough September the 23rd
