The Power Trip festival has officially been announced, and Ozzy Osbourne and AC/DC will make their returns to the stage at the event.

The festival is set at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, the same venue where Coachella and Stagecoach are held, October 6th through 8th.

Friday, October 6th will have Guns n’ Roses and Iron Maiden. Saturday, October 7th is Ozzy and AC/DC, and Sunday, October 8th will have Metallica and Tool. Each act will do full sets.

Fans can register now for access for tickets at PowerTrip.live for when they go on sale April 6th, and they don’t come cheap — three-day general admission tickets start at $599, plus fees.

Ozzy’s last full show was on December 31st, 2018 at Ozzfest at The Forum in Inglewood, California. AC/DC’s was September 20th, 2016 in Philadelphia. That concert had Axl Rose from Guns n’ Roses on lead vocals. The last show with Brian Johnson was February 28th, 2016 in Kansas City, Missouri after which Johnson left because of hearing issues.

Metallica, Iron Maiden, Guns n’ Roses and Tool have played many shows since the pandemic, so it’s just another festival gig for those bands, And as a matter of fact, GNR and Tool are headlining another festival that same weekend in California — Aftershock in Sacramento.

Power Trip is a sequel of sorts to the the 2016 classic rock fest Desert Trip, which had two acts per night — Bob Dylan and The Rolling StonesPaul McCartney and Neil Young; and The Who and Roger Waters.
