While the pieces slowly come together for the planned Ozzy Osbourne bio-pic, his son Jack has outlined the family’s goal for the film in an interview with E! News.

“I kind of have this mantra, and I always kind of say it, you know, when in meetings with my Mom or, you know, doing anything in the family business, it’s like, ‘Give the fans what they want.’ That’s our people. That’s who we’re catering to. That’s who he wrote music for. That’s what, you know, he toured for. It’s why we did the shows we did. We can’t make this artsy kind of esoteric bio-pic. We’re not doing that — for many reasons, but it’s not what the fans want.”
Jack adds that the script is done and they’re currently talking to directors. As for who will play his dad, he says they have someone in mind, and, “if it all works out, it’s gonna be awesome.”
In other Ozzy news, Jack says he “kind of spoke out of turn” when it came to “explaining” the avatar project the family is working on, which was met with negative comments from many of Ozzy’s fans.
“Everything is gonna have an AI fingerprint on it at some point,” says Jack. “Ultimately, it’s about preserving the digital fingerprint of my father. That’s the core essence of it. Yes, it can be utilized for other things, but ultimately it’s about getting ahead of what is the inevitability.”
