DESCRIPTION:HISTORIC AGRICULTURAL FAIR IS SEPTEMBER 18\, 19\, 20\, IN GUILFORD\nGUILFORD\, CT\, Summer 2026 – It will be a special Fair weekend at the Guilford Fairgrounds this September as we celebrate America’s 250th\, with entertainment and exhibits for every age! \nLive bands headline the musical entertainment Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoon. As in the past\, one gate admission covers all shows\, and this year for the first time tickets will be available online. \nAttractions include the Guilford Fair Circus\, competitions\, displays and exhibits inside\, with a special appearance this year on Saturday and Sunday from Janoah the Jester. The famous Flying Wallendas\, Bello Nock\, and Rosaire’s Royal Racing Pigs return. Only rides and refreshments are extra. \nSee more at guilfordfair.org. \nThe annual Guilford Fair Parade will start at 10 AM Saturday\, September 19\, with the theme this year being “Celebrating 250 Years of America.” \nThe Guilford Fair\, and its producers\, The Guilford Agricultural Society\, have been a mainstay of Guilford life since 1859. Town historian Joel Helander wrote about the Fair as “part of the spirit of old New England.” \nJohn Hammarlund\, President of the Agricultural Society\, says: “This year\, as part of America 250\, we will be celebrating the role that horses played in the Revolutionary War\, and in the evolution of American farming and transportation since Independence. Horses were essential to farming in early America\, for plowing and harvesting fields\, for logging and for transportation. So as we celebrate America 250\, we will this special year\, also celebrate the horse.” \nEXHIBITOR RULES AND ENTRY FORMS\nEntry Forms are available NOW and\, for most departments\, entries are open through Saturday\, September 12. Prospective entrants will find everything they need on the website under Exhibitors. \nA printed Exhibitor’s Guide will also be available at the Guilford Town Hall\, Guilford Community Center and other area locations. \nWhile the general deadline to submit entry forms is Saturday\, September 12\, some deadlines with special requirements — such as for some animals — are earlier. Entry delivery dates range from September 12–17 depending on class entered. \nAll exhibits are to be in place on Thursday\, September 17\, according to specific department acceptance times. \nPHOTOGRAPHY DEPT. ONLY: Entry forms and actual photos being entered must be received no later than 5 PM\, Saturday\, September 12\, at the Fair Office. NO POSTMARKS ACCEPTED. \nPlease check specific information for all departments on the website. \nENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCED\nThis year\, the Guilford Fair hosts three bands performing three live music concerts on all three days\, all free with a general Fair admission. \nFriday\, September 18 – 8:30 PMEverybody Wants Some\, bringing the ultimate tribute to legendary Van Halen\, dedicated to the electrifying David Lee Roth era and delivering a “high octane” Van Halen performance. \nSaturday\, September 19 – 8:30 PMStrait Country hits the stage. This unique George Strait tribute is dedicated to honoring the timeless music of the legendary George Strait. Dallas-born Howard Decker tours nationwide delivering the iconic look\, sound and essence of George Strait’s music. \nSunday\, September 20 – 2 PMERAS – “An Unofficial Tribute to Taylor Swift’s Music” will perform on the main stage. \nAll ages will delight in the free Guilford Fair Circus\, featuring the popular Flying Wallendas\, joined again this year by Bello Nock. \nOther entertainment throughout the fairgrounds includes Rosaire’s Royal Racers\, featuring three different breeds of racing pigs during 20–30 minute shows throughout the day. \nFor the first time this year\, Janoah the Jester will entertain children of all ages on Saturday and Sunday. \nOther favorites include the Records and Burpee Children’s Zoo and Zoo Show\, Rockwell Amusements carnival rides\, craft\, agricultural and animal exhibits\, livestock and tractor pulls\, camel and pony rides\, a petting zoo\, food for all tastes\, and the beer garden tent for adult beverages. \nABOUT THE FAIR\nA Library of Congress Local Legacy staged by the nonprofit\, all-volunteer Guilford Agricultural Society since 1859\, the Guilford Fair provides fun for all ages with continuous entertainment\, exhibitions\, demonstrations\, food and carnival rides by Rockwell Amusements. \nGeneral admission covers all entertainment and exhibits.
