Rod Stewart had a big hit with the song “Hot Legs” from the album: Footloose and Fancy Free in 1977. It was huge but Rod was too drunk to remember how or why he wrote it.
“We wrote that in a hotel in Australia in those rampant ’70s days. I can’t remember too much about that one. I can’t remember too much about the ’70s, really, because I was really drunk most of the time and so those memories have all gone down the toilet. I sometimes think, ‘How did I write that song?’ I mean, what drove me to write it?”
