The Rolling Stones’ Sticky Fingers album was released on April 23rd, 1971.The song “Wild Horses” was a collaboration between Mick and Keith but in this case Keith had all the music and the title and told Jagger “Take these horses and write me some verses, Mick.” Here is Keith Richards:
“Very elegant structure on it and it was also a good bit of team work with Mick and me, because I had the song and I had ‘Wild Horses’ etcetera. And it was another one of those, really, ‘Okay, where are you going to take these horses Mick? You write the verses and I’ll carry on, mate, and write the next song.”
