“’Message of Love,’ it was a Jimi Hendrix title; ‘2000 Miles,’ an Otis Redding song, which I loved so much and I used it as the title. But I’ve always been surprised how few people know what the reference is. You know, they probably just think I’m trying to get away with ripping them off.”
