“If you listen to that, I never really play anything fast. And all it is is four notes on the bass, just keeps going down. Billy plays a few extra notes now and then and the drum beat’s the same all the way through. It like it’s just a trance we get into. Sometimes it does sound like we’re really playing fast, but we’re not. It’s just that everything starts swimming around in circles and everything it just starts elevating and it transcends the point of playing fast or slow or anything like that — luckily for us, ‘cause we can’t play fast.”
