Jon Bon Jovi says he’s done with massive tours. He says even doing a 100-date trek is more than he’s willing to do.
“In these latter years, we’ve gone out less and less. The last tour that was over a hundred shows was in ’13. And I don’t think I’ll ever do a hundred show tour again. In the heyday, we would do 200… 240 shows at the peak. That’s too much. Even if you’re young and you have nowhere else to go, it’s too much. Nowadays, I don’t see that.”
As pandemic conditions slowly ease, he’s already getting calls from promoters. Yet, despite being one of the rock world’s A-listers, it’s clear that he’s not interested in the old game plan.
“I had a conversation about Australia, to start it a year from now. And again, as long we do it in a manner that it’s pleasurable and we want to do some dates, ’cause I don’t see me doing a hundred show tours anymore. It’s not really motivational for me. You know, it’s another club sandwich, as we all know, that’s lost its appeal.”
