Ozzy Osbourne‘s last album, 2020’s Ordinary Man, had an all-star supporting cast. And it seems like he’s set to out do that again with his next project.
Osbourne revealed that Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Tony Iommi and his longtime guitarist Zakk Wylde all play on the new album he’s making with producer Andrew Watt.
Ozzy said that Clapton did have some hesitation about the song he was asked to play on. “On this new record, one of the lyrics was about Jesus, and [Eric] wasn’t sure about that. But it was all right in the end… [The solo he did] is very good.”
Andrew Watt revealed earlier this year that Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Robert Trujillo of Metallica and Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters had already laid down tracks for the project. For Ordinary Man, Watt got Smith, Duff McKagan and Slash from Guns n’ Roses, Tom Morello and Elton John to appear.
