Carlos Santana has released a video for “Move,” his new song with Matchbox 20 singer Rob Thomas off the new Santana album, Blessings and Miracles.
The black and white clip features Thomas singing while Santana fires off licks on his guitar under a lightning-filled sky with an appearance and additional vocals by the American Authors, particularly Zac Barnett who sings the second verse. CS: “I feel very grateful, very confident, that Rob and I reach the four corners of the world again and make a lot of families happy. Grandparents, parents, teenagers, little children, to know that they gravitate in the center of the house and they all validate and celebrate their own light. That’s what this is about.”
RT: “Yep, our brand is love.” [Laughs]
“Move” was released in August, ahead of the October 15th release of Blessings and Miracles.
In addition to Rob Thomas, the album also features contributions from Steve Winwood, Diane Warren, Metallica‘s Kirk Hammett, Living Colour singer Corey Glover, country singer Chris Stapleton, the late Chick Corea, and Carlos’s son Salvador Santana.
In other news, Santana just wrapped a U.S. tour and will continue their multi-year residency at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas with upcoming dates from November 3rd through December 11th.
