ZZ Top now have a line of whisky.
In a statement the say, “It’s been years in the making, and we’re honored to announce our collaboration with fellow Texans and The Original Texas Whisky, Balcones Distilling. Introducing… our little ol’ whisky from Texas, Tres Hombres (50% alcohol by volume).
“We’ve been coordinating tasting and blending sessions virtually over Zoom with Balcones over the past year or so…
“On the nose, Tres Hombres is evaporative and spritely with aromas of honeycrisp apples and buttered pastry; with a hint of suede and white flower honey. The taste is sweet and coating with good acidity, brown sugar and red grapes. The finish is effervescent with a bit of fresh ginger and sage.”
Tres Hombres Texas Whisky is available nationwide for pre-order online, and will be rolling out across Texas mid-November.
Other artists with their own line of whisky includes Bob Dylan, Metallica, Pat Benatar‘s husband and bandleader Neil Giraldo, and Anthrax.
