Metallica have joined the lineup for the Boston Calling festival, which is set for Memorial Day Weekend at the Harvard Athletic Complex.
They’re replacing Rage Against the Machine, who were slated for the 2020 and 2021 editions that didn’t happen due to the pandemic. Red Hot Chili Peppers were slated for the 2020 edition, and their slot is now being taken by The Strokes. Foo Fighters have been on board through all three versions of the lineup.
Other acts on the bill include Weezer, Cheap Trick, Avril Lavigne, The Struts, Grandson, Black Pumas, Glass Animals, Modest Mouse, Japanese Breakfast and Peach Tree Rascals.
