Gene Simmons says we need to boycott all things Russia and that his fellow musicians should not play there.
“The problem is if a western band plays Russia, it gives credence — a political win for Putin‘s outright lies. I would recommend nobody goes there. Just shut it down. Stop drinking Russian vodka, just stop it.”
He adds that KISS have no plans to perform there.
Among the artists who have canceled their shows in Russia and Ukraine are Deep Purple and Eric Clapton.
But Kiss is playing in Kentucky.
KISS, Nine Inch Nails, Slipknot, and Red Hot Chili Peppers will headline the 2022 edition of the Louder Than Life festival.
Passes are on sale for the Louisville, Kentucky festival, which runs September 22nd to the 25th. Other acts on the bill include Bring Me the Horizon, Evanescence, Halestorm, Yungblud, Highly Suspect, Shinedown, Mastodon, In This Moment, Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie, Chevelle, Jerry Cantrell, Theory of a Deadman, Sevendust, Mammoth WVH, Alice in Chains, Incubus, Papa Roach, The Pretty Reckless and dozens more.
