Foo Fighters have announced the initial roster of guests for the Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts in London and Los Angeles, and it’s a star-studded list.
Set for September 3rd in London are Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen, Stewart Copeland of The Police, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson of Rush, Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age, Liam Gallagher, Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders, Wolfgang Van Halen, Supergrass, Chris Cheney of Jane’s Addiction (and Hawkins bandmate in NHC), star drummer Omar Hakim and the cover band led by Hawkins, Chevy Metal.
The lineup for the show on September 27th at The Forum has most of the same acts, and adds Alanis Morissette, Joan Jett, Miley Cyrus, Gene Simmons of KISS, Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Brad Wilk of Rage Against the Machine and Pat Wilson of Weezer.
Proceeds from both concerts will go to charities picked by the Hawkins family.
