
Elton John‘s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour is now the third highest-grossing tour of all-time.
According to Billboard Boxscore, he’s sold 4.5-million tickets over 257 shows, which equates to $661.3 million in revenue.
He’s moved past the Guns n’ Roses‘ Not in This Lifetime Tour and is now taking aim at U2‘s 2009 to 2011 360 Tour, which took in $736.4-million.
Ed Sheeran, Elton’s friend and a former client of his management company, is first with his Divide Tour, which grossed $776.4 million between 2017 and ’19.
Elton, who is scheduled to finish the tour next summer in Sweden, has earned $1.7-billion over 50-plus years of touring with 19.1-million tickets sold, making him highest-grossing solo act of all time according to Billboard Boxscore.
The Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour heads to Vancouver, Canada on Friday.
