In 1981, Robert Plant formed The Honeydrippers, a rhythm and blues band that included Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Nile Rodgers and Paul Shaffer.
In 1984 they released a five-song EP of covers, The Honeydrippers: Volume One, which included the Top 10 “Rockin’ at Midnight.”
A deluxe extended edition is reportedly in the works and will include two Fats Domino songs that Plant recorded in 2006 for the 2007 album, Goin’ Home: A Tribute to Fats Domino. They are “It Keeps Rainin’” and “Valley of Tears.”
No word on when it will be released.
Plant recently downsized, playing with his members of his band Saving Grace at a pub in Shropshire, England.
Among the songs they did was Donovan‘s “Season of the Witch.”
