Motley Crue guitarist Mick Mars has filed a lawsuit in order to gain access to their books, as he claims his percentage of tour profits was cut from 25% to 5% after he announced he would no longer tour due to severe arthritis in his spine joints and ligaments.

Mick also says they decided to “unilaterally” remove him from the band after he said he would still record with the band or do limited performances.

But wait, there’s more.

He also claims that all of bassist Nikki Sixx‘s parts are pre-recorded and that he didn’t “play a single note on bass” during their Stadium Tour last year with Def Leppard.

Last month, drummer Carmine Appice, a friend of Mick’s, said he wasn’t happy on last year’s tour and that “everything was on tape; it was all planned out and ultimately a lot of crap…

“I think that’s one of the reasons why he said, ‘I’m done.’ Sure, the disease that he has doesn’t help, and it doesn’t make life easy on tour, but Mick can play all the licks, and he was allowed to.”

Nikki Sixx, who has not commented on the suit, ripped into Appice, saying, “A washed-up drummer trying to speak for us? And bottom-feeder media running with it to make money off of lies? Welcome to the sad new world of LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME.”

Mick’s place on tour has been filled by John 5, and the tour resumes with a European leg starting on May 22nd in Def Leppard’s hometown of Sheffield, England. The band is calling BS with their side of the story.
