The New York Yankees will host Jerry Garcia bobblehead nights on August 1st and 2nd against the Tampa Bay Rays, and August 3rd through the 6th against the Houston Astros. A special ticket is required to receive one, with a portion of each one sold supporting The Grateful Dead’s Rex Foundation, which “provides extensive community support to small organizations making an impact in the arts, sciences, education, the environment and social justice.” The bobblehead is pre-gray Jerry holding a guitar and sporting a Yankees T-shirt, with his right hand raised complete with his severed finger. Garcia died on August 9th, 1995.
