Aerosmith begin their Peace Out farewell tour on Saturday at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, and they say it’s their “biggest production ever!”

They’re hitting the road with:

  • 133 person crew
  • 22 semi trucks
  • 10 tour buses
  • 158 rigging points
  • Over 600 lights
  • 67 guitars
  • 10 basses
  • 5 scarves
  • 4 legends of rock!

If you’re questioning why four and not five, that’s because drummer Joey Kramer is sitting it out.

Here is Joe Perry on why Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer will not be part of the band’sPeace Outtour.

“His heart’s in the right place but playing the drums is an athletic event and there’s a certain point when you just kind of like every joint starts to give out.”

Kramer, who’s has sat out shows before due to medical reasons, will once again be replaced by his tech John Douglas.

Kramer is also mourning the loss of his wife Linda, who passed in June 2022.

Relations between Kramer and the band have been strained since 2020 when he sued them after they refused to allow him to perform with them when they were honored at the MusiCares event in Los Angeles. They claimed that due to a series of injuries and emotional issues, he wasn’t ready to perform.

After a judge threw out the lawsuit, Kramer said, “I knew filing a lawsuit was a bit of an uphill battle. I can hold my head high knowing that I did the right thing — to fight for my right to celebrate the band’s success that I have dedicated the better part of my life to helping build.”

Kramer last performed with Aerosmith in February 2020 during their Deuces Are Wild Las Vegas residency.
