
Elton John has marked the 50th anniversary of his song “Step Into Christmas” – released on November 23rd, 1973 – with a new digital seven-track EP.
Step Into Christmas contains:
- 2017 remastered version of the title song
- Original B-side, “Ho! Ho! Ho! (Who’d Be a Turkey at Christmas)”
- Alternate version he sang on The Gilbert O’Sullivan Show in 1973
- 2005 duet with Joss Stone, “Calling It Christmas”
- Live version of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” from December 22nd, 1973 at London’s Hammersmith Odeon
- “All Quiet on the Western Front” from his 1982 album Jump Up!
- “Cold as Christmas (In the Middle of the Year)” from 1983’s Too Low for Zero.
There’s also a new line of Christmas merch at Elton’s online store to accompany the music.
