Foo Fighters will perform for lawmakers, their staffers, volunteers, and advocates in support of healthcare price transparency at the Power to the Patients concert in Dave Grohl‘s old stomping ground, Washington D.C.
The private show will take place at an undisclosed location on March 5th. In a statement, the band says, “When we were asked by Power to the Patients to help raise awareness of the need for transparency in healthcare pricing, we immediately said yes. People suffering from illness and injury shouldn’t have to worry about being bankrupted by surprise charges for their treatment.”
Other artists who have advocated on behalf of Power to the Patients include Everclear, Jelly Roll, Valerie June, Lainey Wilson and rappers Wyclef Jean, French Montana, Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes, Method Man, Fat Joe and Chuck D, The last two are expected to be on hand for the Foo Fighters show.
