John Fogerty and George Thorogood are teaming up this summer for the Celebration Tour named for the fact that it’s Fogerty’s first tour where he will be performing the songs he wrote while in Creedence Clearwater Revial since acquiring them back last year.
“George and I have done shows together before but for years we’ve talked about doing a full tour together,” says Fogerty. “This summer we decided time is short, we better do this now!”
And Thorogood adds, “Celebrating the music of John Fogerty at the same time we celebrate our 50th anniversary is just about as good as it can get. I’m looking forward to being out there with my friend, John!”
The tour starts June 2nd in South Carolina with 13 shows through June 20th in Lenox, Massachusetts. More dates to be added.
Hearty Har, led by Fogerty’s sons Shane and Tyler, who also play in dad’s band, will open.
