Roger Daltrey of The Who hates that fans can see what’s played at concerts before they attend a show.

Daltrey says “Too many people reveal songs. There’s no surprises left with concerts these days, ’cause everybody wants to see the setlist. I’m sick of it.”

Daltrey added that sites like Setlist.fm and YouTube have taken away the mystery of concerts. “The internet’s ruined the live shows for me. Who wants to know what’s coming next? People forget about surprises. I can’t stand it.”

(If you agree with Daltrey, you might want to stop reading here, as we’re about to tell you what he did on the opening night of his solo tour.)

Daltrey debuted a cover of CCR‘s “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” at his tour opener Monday night in Glenside, Pennsylvania. He also covered Pete Townshend‘s solo hit “Let Me Love Open the Door,” did six Who songs (including deeper cuts “Another Tricky Day” and “Squeeze Box”) and seven songs from his solo career. The tour continues Wednesday in Vienna, Virginia. He’ll be at Tanglewood June 22 and Mohegan June 23rd
