Pink Floyd are reportedly one step closer to selling their catalog.
The Financial Times reports that Sony is “in advanced talks” to buy the rights to their music for about $500-million.
The deal has reportedly been held up for a few years due to David Gilmour and Roger Waters‘ inability to agree, plus Waters’ anti-Israeli government comments, which some interpret as antisemitic.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Gilmour said, “To be rid of the decision making and the arguments that are involved with keeping it going is my dream. If things were different… and I am not interested in that from a financial standpoint. I’m only interested in it from getting out of the mud bath that it has been for quite a while.”
