Def Leppard kicked off their 12-night Las Vegas residency Tuesday at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

They started their 19-song set with their new single, “Rejoice,” and mixed in with the hits you’d expect. The show also featured their debut performance of Depeche Mode‘s “Personal Jesus,” David Essex‘s “Rock On,” which they hadn’t done since 2019, and their first performance since 1993 of “White Lightning” off their Adrenalize album.

Their next show is tonight followed by Saturday, and it will be a Tuesday/Thursday/Friday schedule through the finale on February 28th. (See Tuesday’s set list below.)

In other Def Lep news, bassist Rick Savage tells People they’re a few songs short of having two albums worth of material.

“We’ll have enough material to take us through to the end of the decade pretty much…

“It’s an ongoing process, really. If we needed to put the album out next week, we absolutely could, but we’re still writing, we’re still recording, we’re still finishing off. It’s like we always say, the last 20% takes 80% of the time to get it right. So, we’re kind of in that process.”

He adds that they hope to have the follow-up to their last album, 2022’s Diamond Star Halos, out late this year or early next.
