Van Halen have posted the remastered High Definition version of their 1986 concert video, Live Without a Net, on YouTube.
The complete show is included on the recently released expanded edition of their first album with Sammy Hagar, 5150, which was released earlier in 1986.
And speaking of Sammy Hagar, he has downsized the type of venues he’ll perform in when his Best of All Worlds tour hits the U.K. in July. Instead of the four arenas he was scheduled to perform in, he’s now playing theaters.
He says, “After waiting 30 years to come back [to the U.K.], we really wanted to get this right. Several factors pushed us toward revising this tour, but after wrapping our Las Vegas residency last month at Dolby Live, where the sound, the technology, and the more intimate size really lets us connect with the audiences, it was clear that we wanted to deliver an experience like that for our fans in England.”
Hagar, who last played England with Van Halen in 1995, will now do five shows there instead of the four originally announced. They are:
- July 6th – Wolverhampton – Civic Hall
- July 7th – Manchester – O2 Apollo
- July 9th, 11th & 12th – London – British Airways ARC
Hagar starts the U.S. leg of the tour on June 13th in Maryland Heights, Missouri, just outside his stronghold of St. Louis.
