
The documentary Gregg Allman: The Music of My Soul will be shown in theaters starting June 17th, including one-week engagements in Los Angeles and New York as well as one-night exclusive screenings across the country.
There will also be two premiere events. The first will be on June 9th at New York City’s Gramercy Theatre with a special acoustic performance by Gregg’s son Devon Allman, with Duane Betts, son of the late Allman Brothers Band guitarist Dickey Betts. The second takes place June 11th at the Grand Opera House in Macon, Georgia with a special appearance by onetime Allman Brothers Band keyboardist Chuck Leavell. Both events will include a screening of the film along with a Q&A with members of the filmmaking team.
Gregg Allman died on May 27th, 2017 from liver cancer at age 69.
