Led Zeppelin are ready to launch a promotional campaign to promote their feature-length documentary, Becoming Led Zeppelin.
Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages have been reserved but are yet to be unveiled until a distributor is found and a release date announced.
Becoming Led Zeppelin, which premiered last year at the Venice and Telluride film festivals, follows the band from their beginning up until Led Zeppelin 2 as each of the four members — Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, Robert Plant and John Bonham — narrate their segments. Naturally, filmmakers had to turn to archival interviews for John who died in 1980.
In other Zep news, high-quality bootleg audio from their August 19th, 1971 show in Vancouver has surfaced on YouTube. It’s titled “Led Zeppelin – Live in Vancouver, Canada (August 19th 1971) MOST COMPLETE.”
It features clips of “Stairway To Heaven,” “Rock And Roll,” a rare performance of “Gallows Pole,” which was usually just incorporated into medleys, and an improvised take of “Whole Lotta Love.”
