Wolfgang Van Halen says the new Mammoth WVH album contains a guitar solo that’s very special.

A fan asked Wolf on Twitter if he’d been able to do a solo using each of his dad Eddie‘s guitars like he’d spoken about in an interview last year. Wolf responded, “The whole solo writing process ending up passing by so quickly I wasn’t able to realize that idea completely. HOWEVER I ended up playing the Frankenstein though the original Marshall, through one of the original Marshall cabs on the 5th song, ‘Take a Bow.’ That solo is special.”

The Frankenstein is the guitar that Eddie Van Halen pieced together and used on Van Halen’s first album.

And Wolf’s biggest fan agrees. His mom, Valerie Bertinelli, tweeted, “The solo on ‘Take a Bow’ is…whoo boy. It is, hands down, the best solo on the album, and that’s saying a lot.”

Mammoth WVH’s Mammoth II is due out August 4th
