Gene Simmons has teamed with Gary Hamilton, chairman of Arclight Films, to launch Simmons/Hamilton Productions.
They will develop, finance and produce 25 action feature films over five years, with the first one being Deep Water, a survival thriller directed by Renny Harlin that’s scheduled to go into production this year.
It’s about a plane full of international passengers making an emergency landing between Los Angeles and Shanghai in shark-infested waters. They then have to work together and overcome their differences if they hope to escape the sinking plane and the sharks circling the wreckage.
Simmons is also going back into the comic book world with a series based on the character he created, Dominatrix. The first issue will be out in July.
