Ringo Starr has no plans to write an autobiography despite being offered “lots of money over the last many years.”
He tells USA Today part of the reason is that all everyone wants to know about is The Beatles. “It’d be three volumes before I get to [1962 when he joined].
“I have just never found interest in it. I don’t want to do Ringo the drummer, because we’re all a bit more than that.”
Ringo has published a few photography books, but the only Beatle to write his autobiography was George Harrison with I, Me Mine in 1980.
Ringo is back on the road with his All Starr Band, with a show in Long Beach, California tonight (Tuesday).
