Led Zeppelin has finally found a distributor for their documentary, Becoming Led Zeppelin.
It’s been acquired for release by Sony Classics Pictures, who will screen it in theaters, but when still remains a question.
A rough version of the film premiered at the Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy in September 2021, and while producers shopped it around, it was revised and now features “a brand-new sound mix (and) newly unearthed material from the archives of all four band members.”
The film focuses on the early lives of Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, Robert Plant and John Bonham and how they came together to form the band, ending with the release of their second album, 1969’s Led Zeppelin II.
