Sammy Hagar has posted a video of himself and Michael Anthony with the caption, “Big announcement coming up next week. The Best of All Worlds band. We are up to something.”
The video shows him and Anthony recording, and Hagar has made it known that he wants to record new music, in the vein of Van Halen, with his current band, which is rounded out by drummer Jason Bonham and guitarist Joe Satriani.
They toured the U.S. this past summer followed by three dates in Japan in September, leaning heavily on Van Halen material from Hagar’s time with them.
Hagar’s last album was 2022’s Crazy Times with his other band, The Circle, which includes Anthony and Bonham with Vic Johnson on guitar.
