Ronnie Wood has provided an update on the next Rolling Stones album.
He tells The Sun, “Yes you will be getting a new album next year. It is done.”
Asked about another tour, he says, “Yes we are hoping to do some dates. Hopefully we will be back out there but I am still waiting to find out myself.”
The album will be their 25th studio effort and the follow-up to 2023’s Hackney Diamonds.
Not only have the Stones been in the studio this year working on the new album, but their release last week of their cover of Shirley & Company’s “Shame, Shame, Shame” contains new overdubs.
Mick Jagger posted a video of him and Ronnie Wood in the studio with their touring backup singer Chanel Haynes, captioning it with, “We first tried out ‘Shame Shame Shame’ around the time of Black and Blue… it was fun to return to it now and add something to it!”
The Black and Blue reissue will be released on November 14th.
