Last month, in an interview with the Daily Mail, Queen guitarist Brian May said Queen+Adam Lambert would be concerned touring America because “America is a dangerous place at the moment, so you have to take that into account.”

However, in a new Instagram post, he says he was “misquoted,” adding that that he “can’t believe this got twisted.”

“I did not say Queen will never tour the U.S. again. Why would I say that? We don’t have any plans at the moment, but we don’t have any plans to tour anywhere at the moment for various reasons. But, you know, I love America and always have done. I feel that’s where we grew up as a band. So, hopefully one day I will be on the stage there again.”

Queen and Adam Lambert’s last U.S. show was at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on November 12th, 2023.

Up next for Queen is a deluxe reissue of their second album, 1974’s Queen II, set for release on March 27th.
