It looks as though Paul McCartney is getting ready to announce his new album.
Posters have pasted on walls in his hometown of Liverpool in the style of British street sings saying, “The Boys of Dungeon Lane.”
His brother Mike McCartney broke the news on X, writing, “[My son] Josh saw this teaser for our kids new album ‘The Boys of Dungeon Lane’ in Liverpool… It was familiar to him as he had designed the Dungeon Lane artwork for his Uncle.” Dungeon Lane is a street in Speke, a suburb of Liverpool.
A website has also been created, TheBoysOfDungeonLane.com, which is displaying the artwork.
McCartney will do two one-off shows this Friday and Saturday at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles so it only goes to reason that he would capitalize on publicity surrounding these shows by announcing the album.
The Boys of Dungeon Lane will be his 20th album, and 31st overall counting the eight he released with Wings, and the three as The Fireman.
His last album was McCartney III in 2020.
