Led Zeppelin‘s original promotional video for “Good Times, Bad Times,” which featured them lip syncing the song on February 14th, 1969 at Thee Image Club in Miami, Florida, has been found after more than 50 years.
A color copy was discovered in the archives of the Atlanta music television show The Now Explosion, which are housed at the Walter J. Brown Media Archive & Peabody Awards Collection at the University of Georgia.
It was discovered after a member of the official Led Zeppelin forum suggested that the archives digitize any footage mentioning Led Zeppelin that originated from the Now Explosion show.
A post on the forum reads: “Surely we’ve all seen the black and white ‘Communication Breakdown’ promo video that was shot in Miami in Feb 69. That grainy video. Turns out they mimed TWO songs that day. And ‘Good Times Bad Times’ was shot in color! Evidently Now Explosion acquired this footage way back when.”
